Teaching is an Aha experience....

 Asusual the day started with prayer...Don't know what's the reason...I were quite happy today...πŸ˜πŸ˜€πŸ˜πŸ˜€πŸ˜πŸ˜€Maya miss started the day by reciting the slogan :

Anantham, ajnatam, avarnaneeyam,
Ee loka golam tiriyunna maargam;
Atinkalengandoridatthirunnu
Nokkunna martyan kathayentu kandu?”

                       –  Naalappaattu Naaraayana Menon.

Then miss taught about Realism.

Next class was Archana teacher's. She continued the class on the topic 'Schools of Psychology.' Today we were taught the schools Behaviourism, Cognitive Psychology, Humanistic Psychology and Gestalt Psychology.

Next class was by our beloved principal sir Dr. Benedict. Sir made an interactive section on the topic 'Early Steps in Teaching and Pedagogy'. He mentioned many times that "Teaching must be an AHA experience". Next we discussed about the bipolar and tri-polar concepts of education and , about the strokes... A teacher should be a person who gives positive strokes to the student...through which he/she can see clearly the world which was unknown for them because of the dark blanket they had around their eyes. We also discussed about CAP(Childhood, Adulthood, Parenthood) and Stake holders( Those who have a responsible position in any organisational management)...which was a new information for all of us. He also pointed out the fact that, " the most significant stake holders are none other than students".

Then he divided us into 3 groups in the order of first child, middle child and last child. First child and last child groups were more in numbers compare to the middle child group which consisted of only 4. We discussed about the advantages and disadvantages of us being these categories. He ended the class after defining about the Root System Analysis.

Afternoon class was Joju sir's. He described about ' Edgar Dales Cone of Experience'.

Another day

 Today due to traffic block reached school by 9:5 am ,as i entered few of my companions were already there. I had only one hour today that too afternoon. I kept my bags aside and started going through the portions I had to take today.  After first hour i got to know that there were two consecutive Malayalam periods in 9 b . Since I needed one extra hour i happily took the hour and finished off one more  After serving the midday meal i contacted Deepa teacher to get the portable projector for  9C. With kavitha's help i got some photographs for the blog. Second last hour got to know that there was a pta meeting for 10 th standard students. It was a different feeling to witness it as a teacher. It reminded me of the days my parents visited my school to see my report card. Last hour was free for 9b so i headed with uthara chechi to once again try connecting the projector. This time luckily the problem was solved . Am so grateful to her for helping me. The day ended wi...
